Our History

Our journey began in 1983 when our founders brought their printing and sales expertise together to solve a new problem. In the 1980s, major companies were relocating or expanding their presence in metro Atlanta and many individuals and families were moving to Atlanta. However, these relocators were unable to find essential information about Atlanta, such as real estate, cities, neighborhoods, and schools. To address this need, KNOWAtlanta was born.

Next came tennis. In 1992, we partnered with the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) to turn their newspaper tabloid, Net News, into a sophisticated magazine. Soon after, we began to publish PAGE One Magazine for the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and Cobb in Focus. We have since expanded to publish various magazines on many topics while attracting more advertisers and sponsorships.

New South Publishing is passionate about what we know and love, including metro Atlanta, sports, education, and our communities. Our company has received numerous awards and accolades and our founders have served as guest lecturers in journalism for universities. We are very proud of our rich and long history and how we have evolved as a company to be who we are today.
